Tea Club…

Another great place i like to go try in Bahrain is The Tea Club also in Amwaj… They have hundreds of kinds of tea and every time i go i like to try something new… This time we went after our Burger Lounge lunch so we only had tea and didn’t eat…

1- Jasmine Dragon Pearl Tea…

I really liked it, it was a great choice from my friend… I wouldn’t mind Having it again…

2- Caramel Chai…

This was my choice and it wasn’t so nice… It tasted good only after alot of spoons of sugar…

The previous time i went i ate their, click here to read about it… Tea Club is a great place to eat or have a cup of tea and when the weather gets better its more beautiful sitting outside…

Burger Lounge…

One of the restaurants i was looking forward to try in Bahrain is Burger Lounge… Located in the beautiful Amwaj opposite The Tea Club… I found out that the owner of it is Kuwaiti, i didn’t know that… Before you start they bring you some chips which were very delicious, once you pop you can’t stop…

Anyways getting to the food, our order was:
1- Mash Balls…
2- Hail Ceaser (Salad)…
3- Double Cheeseburger…
4- Upset Burger…
5- Grilled Chicken Burger…
6- Demimash Burger…

1- Mash Balls we were so hungry i forgot to take a pic but they were good…

2- Hail Ceaser… Its a chicken ceaser salad which was also good…

3- Double Cheeseburger… This burger was delicious and you can taste how good the meat is, i ordered it medium well…

4- Upset Burger… This burger made my day, it was awesome… Beef burger with egg, bacon and cheese, i thought it was the best between all of our order…

5- Grilled Chicken Burger… I didn’t like it the chicken tasted wrong…

6- Demimash Burger… If i remember right this burger was with mushroom and it was pretty good…

In general the restaurant was nice and enjoyed our food… The bun is soft and yummy, the burger itself is ordered as you prefer and for me medium well is juicy enough… We also ordered a fries but it wasn’t nice, fast food restaurants have better fries… Our bill was around BD 25 and i have to say that the waiters were very friendly and polite…

Fish Market – Bahrain…

Everytime i go to Bahrain i always hear how good their Fish Market restaurant is, they say its even better than the one in Kuwait… So, i gave it a chance and had lunch there… First of all Fish Market is located in Al-Bandar Resort, Sitrah… Honestly the food was nice but i wouldn’t say it’s the best, comparing it to the old one in Kuwait, Kuwait’s much nicer… Our order is as follows:
1- Crab with cheese sauce…
2- Oysters with tomato sauce…
3- Calamari…
4- Lobster with lemon sauce…
5- Prawns with lemon sauce…

1- Crabs with cheese sauce… I loved their crabs and the cheese mix was very nice with it… Even though you rarely taste the crab its all cheese, it was still delicious, loved it…

2- Oysters… They were nice and mixed with some kind of tomato sauce which came out great…

3- Calamari… It was OK had better in alot of other restaurants… My least favorite in the order…

4- Lobster with lemon sauce… The lobster was 50/50, half of it came delicious and melt in your mouth tender and the other half, the tail side, was very hard and chewy…

5- Prawns also with lemon sauce… They were good not great…

Maybe trying some dishes with different sauces might have been better but i still think that Kuwait’s Fish Market in the Old Salmiya is way better… Our bill came around BD 88, which is about the same in Kuwait…

Novotel Al-Dana Resort…

Usually when i go to Bahrain alone i stay at a cheap hotel, because in Bahrain i don’t really care where i sleep… This time i went with a good friend of mine and he wanted to stay in a better hotel, so we tried Novotel Al-Dana… The hotel has a great pool and a private beach for its residents… The pool was great but the beach we didn’t try but it looked nice…

As for the room it was spacious and chalet style, the floors were ceramic not carpet… We had a balcony with a table and two chairs, i think it wasn’t cleaned after the previous residents, cigarette ashes were all over the table… The room was pretty clean and so was the bathroom…

 

Room door and cupboards… The door was so tight we had to open both sides so our bags would fit through, even though that isn’t a big issue but it would be much nicer if they were wider…

It was a big balcony with a beach view, but wasn’t clean… The weather was also too humid to sit outside…

 

Novotel Al-Dana is a 4 star hotel… I didn’t like their service alot… When we checked in there was only one person at the counter and she wasn’t that welcoming… I really hated the way she talked to us, not a good receptionist for a hotel… To me the pool and beach made our stay worthwhile… Of course i almost forgot the location is on the bridge between Al-Muharraq and Al-Manama, which i think is a very awesome location everything is close by…

Colombiana…

Revenge is Beautiful… This to me is just another vengeance movie, so we have seen alot of movies with similar stories… It was nice to watch but not that great… The story is about a girl who witnesses her parents get murdered and you know the rest… I’ll leave you with the trailer…

Actors:  Zoe Saldana, Michael Vartan and Callum Blue…

Horrible Bosses…

It has been a while since i last wrote about the movies i go to… But this definitely made me want to write, Horrible Bosses is an incredibly hilarious movie, a must watch… The movie is about how three friends have terrible bosses and how their lives would be a lot easier if they weren’t around… 😉 Here is the trailer…

Actors:  Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, Jason Sudeikis, Kevin Spacey, Colin Farrell, Jennifer Aniston and Jamie Fox…

 

Love the huge cast of actors, each one is funnier than the other…

Back From Bahrain…

I came back to Kuwait yesterday from the lovely Bahrain… It was a good 3 day weekend had alot of fun with my friend… Of course i mostly go to Bahrain by car, its about 4 to 5 hours drive… On our way there it took us about 7 hours to reach Bahrain, while on the way back, on Sunday, it took us only 4 hours… Before i start writing my posts about the things i did in Bahrain here is a summary of the places i went to…
